yes you do…if its put into the ground or attached………..no you don't if its a portable device

You may want to ask just to be on the safe side but there should not be a problem as long as you are not installing anything structurally.

As long as an item is not permanently installed, or against any applicable community regulations (HOA) it's fine.

ORLAND — it wasn’t quite “101 in the Shade,” as the theme suggested. it was a bit cooler, but Orland’s 101st birthday celebration on Saturday was all the more enjoyable for the breeze under the shady trees at Library Park.

After celebrating the city’s centennial last year, the Orland Centennial Jubilee Committee still owed about $5,000 to the city of Orland, so this year’s celebrations were done on a tight budget while trying to pay the loan back.

Several food vendor booths, as well as nonprofit organizations and commercial businesses, set up shop in the park, while bands played in the gazebo. Orland residents could also rent a square of space in the park for mini-garage sales during the event.

Raffle tickets were being sold by Orland High School cheerleaders in a contest for donated prizes, such as a trip to Tahoe, or a chair swing and canopy.

Committee member Terrie Barr called it “an old-fashioned day in the park.”

Food vendors included Orland’s resident Farwood Grill and Bar, where Leigh Ann Byerly was helping serve cheeseburgers.

“We really like coming out for community events,” Byerly said. She was at the centennial last year and said this year’s celebrations were very quiet, possibly from competing with the Willows Farmers Market.

Orland Parks and Recreation was on hand to provide games and entertainment for children with a Slip ‘n Slide, a basketball hoop and other summertime games such as a parachute, bocce ball, and even some tumbling mats.

“We just wanted to come out and give an opportunity for the kids to do something while the family’s here,” Orland Parks and Recreation Director Joe Fenske said.

Fenske said somewhere between 50 and 75 people had come by their booth to stop and play games with Parks and Recreation staff members Trystan Crook, Brandon Smith, Mike Long, Victor Puzo and Joey Shockley, many of whom were shooting hoops on the park’s lawn with the children.

“We’re here to establish a connection with families in the Orland community,” Fenske said, adding that the facility offers camps, youth and adult team sports and fun activities for the whole family.

“It’s a free atmosphere today,” he said. “(We’ve got) anything that the kids wanted to do.”

We have been trying to find a decent replacement canopy cover for our 3-person patio swing, and except for a really drab looking tan-like one at K-Mart, we have had no luck.
Not much help with Google, Amazon or Ebay so far. Big-box home centers are pretty useless as well.
Rough dimensions are about 80in x 36in (based on eyeballing, sorry). So if anyone has been in the same boat and has any ideas, bring them to the party.

This is not regarding a full swingset cover, although getting one of those wouldn't be bad for storage, otherwise I'll be replacing the canopy every couple years……

Anyone know where to find a patio swing canopy cover?
